August 2, 2021 – Dr. Greg White, President and CEO of PepperPointe Partnerships, spoke as a panelist at Dykema’s 8th Annual Definitive Conference for DSOs. In a live interview during the conference, Dr. White discusses PepperPointe Partnership’s doctor-owned model and what led to the formation of the unique dental service organization (DSO) in 2017.
Throughout his 28 years of practicing orthodontics, Dr. White saw the rapid changes happening in the dental industry and the growth of DSOs. Higher costs of staying relevant and known, higher costs of equipment and supplies, and the downward pressure of lower compensation from third-party payers were becoming more and more challenging for individual practice owners.
Dr. White and his partners founded PepperPointe Partnerships to centralize the non-clinical functions and support the growth of their 20 orthodontic practices. By 2021, PepperPointe grew to more than 90 office locations providing pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and general dentistry, and serving 85 doctor partners.
The alternative structure maintains doctor ownership, provides passive income into retirement, and creates a pathway to ownership for the next generation of doctors, ensuring long-term continuity of care and commitment to the communities is preserved.
PepperPointe Partnerships was proud to sponsor Dykema’s 8th Annual Definitive Conference for DSOs, as well as have our CEO featured in one of the key panel discussion sessions.
