As another year turns, many people rush to draft New Year’s resolutions. I’ve never been convinced that progress comes from a date on the calendar. Real growth doesn’t start on January 1 — it starts when we decide to think differently, act intentionally, and refuse to accept “good enough.”

As we step into 2026, my wish for our industry is simple, but not easy: that we stop reacting to the future and start owning it.

We are living in an era defined by rapid change. Innovation, artificial intelligence, and technology are reshaping every corner of healthcare, including dentistry. At PepperPointe Partnerships, we see this not as disruption to fear, but as opportunity to lead. The real work ahead isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about understanding and acting on the true drivers of long-term value. Not just for today’s production or this year’s metrics, but for generations of patient care yet to come.

Progress in dentistry is not simply about efficiency or new tools. It’s about purpose.
And our purpose is unwavering: to protect patients, support doctors, and elevate care.

That purpose guides every decision we make. It’s what keeps us focused on building value that transcends any single practice, partnership, or production cycle. Because if the value we’re creating doesn’t outlive us, then we’re thinking too small.

One belief I hold deeply—and one I’ll challenge our community with in 2026—is this: contentment is the enemy of greatness. Comfort may feel safe, but it never builds legacies. The future of dentistry will not be shaped by those who settle, but by those who continuously ask, “How can this be better, and what will I do to make it so?”

Building value that outlives us requires a different mindset. It means designing systems and strategies that serve doctors, teams, and patients—not just now, but 10, 20, even 30 years from now. It means rejecting complacency and embracing a truth that shouldn’t be controversial, yet often is: doing the right thing for people isn’t just good business—it’s the only way forward.

What truly differentiates PepperPointe isn’t a single operational model or technology platform. It’s our people. The doctors who choose ownership with intention. The teams who show up every day committed to excellence. The partners who believe that shared success is stronger than individual wins. Every innovation we pursue, every collaboration we foster, and every courageous story shared during Ignite contributes to something bigger—a stronger, smarter, more united future for doctor-owned dentistry.

So as we enter 2026, instead of resolutions, I’ll offer a call to action:

  • Don’t settle for what’s comfortable.
  • Don’t build for short-term wins at the expense of long-term impact.
  • Don’t lose sight of why dentistry matters—to patients, to communities, and to the professionals who dedicate their lives to it.

Greatness is never accidental. It’s built through vision, purpose, and the relentless pursuit of a better future—one that honors those who came before us and empowers those who will follow.

That is my wish for 2026. And it’s the work we’ve committed to doing together.
